Message from CAOS International President

Welcome!

On behalf of CAOS International, it is a great honor to invite you to participate in the 16th CAOS International, to be held from June 8-11, 2016, in Osaka, Japan. In collaboration with CAOS Japan and the Japan Society of Computer Aided Surgery, we would like to gather many surgeons and researchers in this area, in order to result in a rich and fruitful exchange of ideas, information on various new technologies, as well as the formulation of future directions for CAOS.

Furthermore, Osaka has multi-faceted features as Japan's “City of Water,” a “Gourmet & Shopping Paradise,” the “City of Merchants,” and the “Capital of the Performing Arts and Comedy.” I am sure that Osaka is yours to enjoy!

We have also planned some special features for you:

- Extended Papers on Technical Innovations,
- Special Topics Panels,
- Bone coordinates for implant alignment in hip and knee
- Can statistical models eliminate individual 3D CT images?
- What is the role of robotics in CAOS?
- What is needed to increase the adopter of CAOS technology?
- Workshops of CAOS tools,
- Luncheon lectures with a Japanese bento box, and
- Banquet at Grand Front Osaka with local gourmet foods.
