Instructions for Podium Presenters

Special Poster Teasers
Podium Papers, Panel Discussions

All presentations will be made by computer projection in MS Windows Power Point format. The audiovisual projection system in the presentation rooms will include a Laptop Computer. (OS: Windows 7, Applications: PowerPoint 2007,2010,2013 and 2016) If your presentation includes videos, or data is created with a Macintosh computer, please bring in your own computer. Due to the changes in computer configuration, we would like to avoid to accommodate speakers´ laptops except for special cases mentioned before. No Macintosh computers will be available.

You must pre-load your presentation in the Speaker’s Preview Desk.
Speakers must preload their presentation in the Speaker’s Preview Desk that is available to them at the times listed below. Please preload your presentation, at least 30 minutes before your presentation session is due to begin; late uploads may be impossible to accommodate. Please bring your presentation on a USB memory stick - internet uploads will not be available.

Presenters for the Special Poster Teasers must prepare for both, displaying your poster for the Poster Panel and the Podium Presentation (Oral Presentation).
Please refer to the "Instructions for Poster Presentation" for poster display details.

How long is my talk?

  • Regular Paper Sessions: Papers are scheduled in 10 minute intervals. You are expected to complete your presentation within 7 minutes to allow 3 minutes for questions and speaker changeover.
  • Special Poster Teasers: Papers are scheduled in 3 minute intervals. You are expected to complete both your presentation and speaker changeover within 3 minutes.
  • Panel Sessions: Presentation time limits are at the discretion of the congress organizer, who has contacted you separately.

Please ensure that your title slide or the following slide includes a statement disclosing any conflicts of interest (eg, industry sponsorship) or stating that there are no disclosures.
Presentation Formats Supported: Only PowerPoint presentations will be supported.

File Management

  • Presentation files must be in Windows PowerPoint 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016.
  • To avoid display problems with your presentation, use only standard OS fonts such as Times New Roman, Arial, Arial Black, Arial Narrow, Century, Century Gothic, Courier, Courier New or Georgia.
  • The projection screen for your session has XGA resolution (1024 x 768 pixels, Single screen only).
  • You can use audio or video in your presentation. If you use video in your presentation, we recommend bringing your own PC. We also recommend any video data to be in AVI or MPEG format which can be played with Windows Media Player 10 and Quick Time 7.
  • All data files should be in one folder, including any reference files such as video images.
    For presenter using own laptop
  • Pin and ConnectorPlease make sure to bring your own AC adaptor, auxiliary output adaptor (D-sub 15 pin) and connector.

  • Please cancel your screensaver and power saving setting in advance.
  • Please have a backup data saved in another media in order to avoid your data corruption.

SECURITY CONCERNS

Any copies of your presentation data received by the secretariat will be deleted after the meeting.

Instruction for Poster Presentations

1) The size of the poster is described as below.
The program number will be provided by the secretariat. Please prepare the title, name and affiliation by yourself. Pins are available at the Poster & Exhibition Hall (Hall C, Congress Convention Center).
2) Posters must be removed during the Poster Removal hours. Any poster remaining after the designated removal period will be discarded by the secretariat.
