Authors Guidelines Upload		For podium presentations, please keep in mind the following CAOS-International rule: No-one may present more than one paper from the podium. If an author has more than one of his/her submissions accepted as podium presentations, the co-authors of the papers should be prepared to give one talk each. Computer Aided Surgery Journal Abstract Guidelines All authors are also required to resubmit their one page short (150 words) abstract (Microsoft Word document) for the Computer Aided Surgery Journal to the website. The length of this short abstract is limited to 150 words. Authors and Affiliations should be superscript as described above. Final Manuscript Guidelines - Deadline for On-line Submission - April 19, 2004 Title: The title must not exceed 140 characters (incl. spaces). It should be written in small letters with only the first letter capitalized. Authors: List up to 8 authors using the form (e.g., "JD MILLER" instead of "John D. MILLER" or "J.D. MILLER"). Do not list any academic titles such as MD or PhD. Separate authors by comma. Affiliations: If all authors are from the same institute, clinic, or company, then list this affiliation once. If the affiliations are different, add superscript numbers after the name of each author & repeat these numbers in the affiliation listing. After the institution's name add city and country. Example: JD MILER¹, PH JOHNSON², JJ DAVIDS¹ ¹Clinic of Orthopaedic Surgery, University Hospital, Chicago, USA ²Institute for Medical Technology, University of Toronto, Canada Contact: Please provide full contact details of the corresponding author. Important: Provide a valid email address! Structure your manuscript using headings such as "Introduction", "Materials and Methods", "Discussion", "Conclusions", etc. Provide up to 5 references to relevant literature. List these references alphabetically by first authors at the end of your abstract, number them, and cite the reference in the abstract text using square brackets (e.g., "[2,4]"). The total length (excluding the title page) must be between 1200 and 1400 words!!! Use Microsoft's "Count Words" feature to verify correct length. The last page may contain one (but not more than one) figure, or diagram, or table with a short heading. Please submit your manuscript electronically. Please submit it as a WORD document. Uploading Instructions - Deadline for On-line Submission - April 19, 2004 Please upload your manuscript and Journal abstract here. Complete all required fields. There are two different submission options on the web-site for these two documents (Manuscript and Journal Abstract). Your files need to be uploaded separately. Again, all documents are to be submitted in Microsoft Word format and must be named properly with Reference Number and either Manuscript or Journal (e.g. 0047Manuscript.doc or 0047Journal.doc). Your file MUST end in .doc or it will (automatically) not be accepted for upload. Your FILE Reference Code is your abstract number.
