Do I need a Visa...?
Boston
Citizens of most countries who visit the United States of America must have a visa. However, most Canadian citizens and many citizens from Visa Waiver Program countries can come to the U.S. without a visa if they meet certain requirements. Please make sure to verify these requirements in due time and to apply for the neccessary documents in order to participate in CAOS 2009.
New in 2009: Change in Visa Waiver Program
Since the January 12, 2009, citizens of countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program must apply electronically for travel authorization not later than 72 hours prior to their traveling to the USA. The Electronic System for Travel Authorization must be accessed through https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/. It replaces the well-know, green I-94 forms that used to be distributed aboard inbound flight to the USA.
Details about the applicable law can be found on the corresponding pages of the U.S. Department of State.
