Welcome to Seoul, South Korea's capital, a real metropolis of 10 million, site of the 1988 Summer Olympics – and the host of CAOS 2012! Seoul is located in the north-west of South Korea. It has been a settlement for more than 2,000 years and is home to four UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Climate

Temperature and humidity vary considerably throughout the year. During the time of CAOS-International's annual meeting you may expect temperatures to be around 25°C (77°F) on average with moderate changes of rain.

Electrical Equipment

Wall socket

The standard electrical voltage in South Korea is 220 volts AC, 60HZ, so you will need an adaptor for your 110-volt appliances and electrical equipment. Two-pronged European plugs, however, will work.
