The International Society for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOS-International) is pleased to announce two travel fellowships that are available for young surgeons and researchers/engineers respectively, who are interested in enabling and adapting computer assisted orthopaedic surgery.
In order to allow promising young surgeons and researchers/engineers to perfect their knowledge and expertise, the International Society for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOS-International) offers on a yearly basis two travel fellowships. The aim for the winners is to spend a set period of time (for example 3 to 12 months) in a Department of his/her choice somewhere in North America, Europe, Asia, or Australia. The Fellowship will be awarded competitively on the basis of academic merit.

Requirements:
This funding shall be used to support research visits to clinics or laboratories in North America, Europe, Asia, or Australia. Each fellow is expected to present a report at the following CAOS-International annual meeting and to be a student or active member of CAOS-International or join the society as a student or active member.
Candidates have to submit the following:
1. Full curriculum
2. Proposed clinical and research project, complete with time frame and budget
3. Letter of acceptance from the head of the Department where the Fellowship will take place (ideally a CAOS- International member), who has to sign the proposal of the candidate.

Notification of acceptance: June 16, 2010
