Finland
Finland lies in the North of Europe. It became an independent country in 1917.
Since 1995 it is a member of the European Union. Although it is one of the
largest countries in Europe, it has only 5.2 million inhabitants. Finland
is a very safe, reliable, and easily reachable location, which made it a
polpular place to host conferences and congresses.
On top of all, particularly Finland's north, the region known as Lapland
is a treasure for friends of an unspoiled nature and undisturbed wildlife.
Due to its geographical location, Finland experiences extremly long summer
days and you may experience the Midnight Sun when you travel north of the
Arctic Circle.
